On March 19, 2020, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a memorandum on identification of essential critical workers during the Covid-19 crisis. The response included the pest control industry as essential as we provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences and businesses.
The good and welfare of our employees and clients is very much top-of-mind when we start our day at Haggerty Pest Control. We have always been careful to use the safest and most effective products and our technicians have been trained to adhere to the most up-to-date practices when on the job.
Now that we are living in a very different world, our priorities remain the same but some of our protocols may have been adjusted to allow for an extra measure of peace-of-mind we know our customers are looking for.
- At this time, we are continuing to provide all of our services as scheduled. If you would like to make a change, just call the office and Phyllis or another staff member (working remotely) will be happy to accommodate your request.
- We continue to offer outside-only spraying as a service option for your property. Our exterior treatment services maintains the protective barrier that keeps pests from entering your home. We are NOT performing interior pest control services in the coming few weeks.
- Our skilled technicians do not meet before going out in the field each day. Every one of them has his own truck and equipment and can pick up supplies without having to come in contact with other Haggerty employees. Any equipment used to fill tanks are cleaned thoroughly as we don’t want any of our people to get sick. Employees and/or family members of employees who appear to have flu-like or respiratory illness symptoms will be prohibited from work. Routine disinfecting of shared equipment as well as personal protective equipment (gloves, hand sanitizer, etc.) have been made available to employee. They have been instructed to closely follow the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for protecting themselves and others. These recommendations include limiting exposure to sick individuals, frequent and thorough hand washing, knowing the signs and symptoms of COVID-19, and more.
